Typical Properties and Field Applications
EcoFrac technology was commercialized in 2025 successfully and has been applied in various unconventional oil or gas fields in the world. It has been proved to be effective in treatment of shale or tight sand reservoirs with the following conditions:
|
Temperature: |
BHST 70‑350°F (21‑177°C) |
|
Formation: |
Various tight sands or unconventional formations |
|
Mix-water: |
Fresh water, some brines & seawaters |
Precautions and HSE Considerations
Novel high viscosity friction reducer KHF081 is a multi-functional additive used in EcoFrac systems to work as HVFR, linear gel for crosslinked gel and clay inhibitor. Crosslinker KHF048 can react with KHF081 to provide the in-situ crosslinked gel for carrying higher loading of sand/proppant. Flowback surfactant KHF007S and breakers KHF011, KHF012, KHF013, KHF014 can be used as per job design requirement.
The laboratory procedures, quality assurance program and guidelines for field mixing and handling of EcoFrac systems are described in the fluid manual.
Refer to the technical sheet and SDS of the respective product for the health, safety and environmental information of each product.
