OPT spends more than 5% of its annual revenue in product research and technology development of specialty chemicals. OPT's commitment to R&D is evident from the technology developed from our R&D and technology centers at Houston (U.S.A), Dongying (China), Jakarta (lndonesia) and Dammam (Saudi Arabia) . OPT R&D teams are led by world class scientists and engineers. More than two-hundred-man years of experience together with our advanced testing facilities, we build technologies for our clients where it is needed.
OPT research scientists actively participate in technical communities of oil and gas and other natural resource industry such as Society of Petroleum Engineers and Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration. Numerous well-cited papers are presented and published in national and international conferences and peer reviewed journals.
Over two hundred products and technologies that are developed by OPT researchers in the last 20 years are qualified and used successfully by many leading clients including Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, Chevron, Petrogas, Pertamina, Sinopec, CNPC, and Maaden. Many of these products and technologies are unique, allowing OPT to provide better performance in extracting oil & gas and other natural resources even in difficult circumstances.
In addition, OPT research and development team has established close relationship with universities and research institutes such as Southwest Petroleum University, Chinese Petroleum University, Shandong Institute of Petroleum & Chemical Technology, KFUPM and Texas A&M University.
