Typical Properties and Field Applications
GeLock‑F technology was commercialized in 2025 successfully and has been applied in various oil and gas fields in the world. It has been proved to be effective in treatment of various reservoirs with the following conditions:
|
Temperature: |
BHST 175‑300°F (79‑149°C) |
|
Formation: |
Naturally fractured sandstone, carbonate or unconventional reservoirs |
|
Mix‑water: |
Fresh water or brine |
Precautions and HSE Considerations
Gelling agent KWC010, primary crosslinker KWC016 and secondary crosslinker KWC017 in GeLock-F systems play the most important roles in GeLock treatment design. In addition, stabilizer KWC025 is also generally used in GeLock-F systems to improve fluid stability at elevated temperatures. Accelerator KWC026 is sometimes used in the GeLock-F system to speed up the gelation of GeLock-F at low bottom hole temperatures.
The laboratory procedures, quality assurance program and guidelines for field mixing and handling of GeLock-F systems are described in the fluid manual.
Refer to the technical sheet and SDS of the respective product for the health, safety and environmental information of each product.
