Emulsifier KDF010 plays important role for superior performance of EcoDrill by forming an efficient and stable emulsion at high temperatures. Some additives such as KDF041, KDF037, KDF047 are multi-functional. They not only effectively control the API and HTHP fluid loss of EcoDrill systems but also provide synergistic effect on shale stabilization together with KDF035 and base brines. Fluid loss control additives KDF027 and KDF037 are also effective in optimization of rheological properties of EcoDrill systems together with viscosifiers KDF001 and KDF011. The combination of oil-in-water emulsion and lubricant KDF004 improve the lubricity of EcoDrill systems significantly.
