OPT spends more than 5% of its annual revenue in product research and technology development of specialty oilfield chemicals. OPT's commitment to R&D is evident from the technology developed from our R&D and technology centers at Houston (U.S.A), Dongying (China), Jakarta (lndonesia) and Dammam (Saudi Arabia) focusing on Oilwell Cementing, Reservoir Stimulation and Specialty Chemical Manufacturing and Solutions. OPT R&D teams are led by world class scientists and engineers. Two-hundred-man years of experience together with our advanced testing facilities, we build technologies for our clients where it is needed.
OPT research scientists actively participate in technical communities of oil and gas industry such as Society of Petroleum Engineers. Numerous well cited papers are presented and published in national and international conferences and peer reviewed journals.
Over two hundred products and technologies that are developed by OPT researchers in the last 15 years are qualified and used successfully by many leading operators including Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, Chevron, Petrogas, Pertamina, Sinopec, CNPC, etc. Many of these technologies are unique and differentiating, and allow OPT to provide better performance in extracting oil and gas even in difficult circumstances.
