EZStim® - High Temperature Sandstone Acids

Typical Properties and Field Applications

EZStim technology was commercialized successfully in 2012 and has been applied in various oil and gas fields in the world. It has been proved to be effective in treatment of high temperature sandstone formations with the following conditions:

Temperature:
BHST 215-392℉(100-200℃)
Formation:
Sandstone formation
Treatment fluids:
EZStim fluids
Mix-water:
Fresh water

Further information about field applications is described in documented “Case History of EZStim Technology”.
Typical corrosion properties of EZStim fluids at 300F are shown in the following Figure.

Precautions and HSE Considerations

Chelating agent KMA018 and acid intensifier KMA008 in EZStim systems play the most important role in effective treatment of sandstone reservoirs at high temperature. In addition, corrosion inhibitor (KMA044) and inhibitor aid (KMA031) is generally used in EZStim systems to protect the tubing from corrosion.
The laboratory procedures, quality assurance program and guidelines for field mixing and handling of EZStim systems are described in EZStim fluid manual.
Refer to the technical sheet and SDS of the respective product for the health, safety and environmental information of each product.
