EZFrac® - High Temperature Zirconium Crosslinked Fracturing Fluids

Typical Properties and Field Applications

EZFrac technology was commercialized in 2016 successfully and has been applied in various oil and gas fields in the world. It has been proved to be effective in treatment of tight sandstone and carbonate reservoirs with the following conditions:

Temperature:
BHST 100-375℉ (35-190℃)
Formation:
Various sandstone and carbonate formations
Mix-water:
Fresh water, brines, or seawater

Further information about field applications is described in documented “Case History of EZFrac Technology”.

Typical rheological properties of EZFrac fluids are shown in the following Figures.

Precautions and HSE Considerations

CMHPG (KHF031 and KHF031L), Delayed zirconium crosslinker (KHF024, KHF025 and KHF026) and breaker (KHF011, KHF012, KHF013 and KHF014) in EZFrac systems play the most important roles in fracturing treatment. In addition, clay stabilizer (KHF002, KHF002L and KHF002C), biocide (KHF003 and KHF003G), stabilizer (KHF005), flowback additive (KHF007 and KHF007S) and polymer hydration aid (KHF023) are also used in EZFrac fluid systems.

The laboratory procedures, quality assurance program and guidelines for field mixing and handling of EZFrac systems are described in EZFrac fluid manual.
